Eataly, The Park pedestrian area and the New York-New York side create a cluster where a group can move between quick food, sit-down meals, entertainment and the arena without arranging transport each time. This works especially well on a two- or three-night trip when you do not want every meal to become a cross-town mission.
That convenience should not become an excuse to stay in one block for the whole holiday. If it is your first Vegas visit, keep at least one centre-Strip and one Downtown or north-Strip outing in the plan so the hotel location helps rather than narrows the trip.
